How much pollution was reduced during lockdown?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown on March 23 across the country. But a few days ago, the process of closing schools and offices had started.
On February 19 in Delhi's Anand Vihar, the maximum level of PM 2.5 was estimated at 404, which is considered very dangerous. Healthy people suffer a lot at this stage and have serious effects on the health of sick people.
But after a month, when the school and offices started closing, this figure was 374.
Ten days after this the lockdown was continued, then this figure was reduced to only 210. On 5 April this figure has been reduced to just 133.
And the whole day average was just 101.
