In 1991, India's economy was bankrupt. Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao called Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh

In  1991, India's economy was bankrupt. Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao called Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and asked how much money was left in the treasury. Manmohan Ji replied that there was only enough money left to run the country for 9 days. When Narasimha Rao Ji asked how to handle this situation, Manmohan Singh said that the value of the country's currency would have to be reduced (devalued) by 20%.Narasimha Rao Ji said, "Okay, call a cabinet meeting." Manmohan Ji got up and started moving towards his room. After walking a few steps, he came back and said to Narasimha Rao Ji, "If we call a cabinet meeting, we will not be able to take this tough decision; all the ministers will address their vote banks."Narasimha Rao Ji told Manmohan Ji, "Okay, you go to your room now." 20 minutes later, a secretary went to Manmohan Ji's room and gave him a note, in which Narasimha Rao Ji had written, "Done."Later, when it was found out what had happened in those 20 minutes that he had approved everything, surprising the entire cabinet including Manmohan Singh, Narasimha Rao Ji had said, "I had spoken to Atal Ji and got it done." This shows the trust [in] Atal Ji was even more than his own cabinet; he knew that whatever Atal Ji says will be in the national interest. Such is the nationalist opposition. And after the announcement of that tough decision, the BJP did not hold a protest movement, but supported the immediate Congress government to bring the country's economy back on track. And see the attitude of the opposition on the Waqf Amendment Bill today.......
